Toll Free Calling Proposal Denied in Ohio

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio rejected a plan to remove tolls between Bellevue Attica Clyde and Monroeville arguing the exchanges lack a strong community of interest and customer demand. A May 26 1970 hearing drew 28 speakers with all but four in favor. Six affirmative voters favored adding or substituting exchanges. The plan would have reduced two way tolls with a small rate adjustment if approved.
