Building and zoning fees debated amid permit talks
Commissioner Grant Walls pressed the idea that building and zoning permits are linked while Ford noted zoning checks accompany building permits. The city may charge a zoning certificate fee under the 1964 regulations, with rates rising to 15,000 valued projects and reductions over higher values. May permits totalled 95 650. zoning fees could have added about 100. Revenue from zoning certificates could fund Planning and Zoning, as the council seeks a self sustaining zoning inspector via updated building fees.
