Dick Dewey, known as the Iron Man, finally sleeps after bowling 1,474 consecutive games at Leisure Lanes in Omaha. The 46 year old KC man was carried to a motel at 2:25 a.m. and the event raised 6500 dollars for a Henry Doorly Zoo car complex project.
The Delta Body Scanner from Ohio Nuclear Corp. is evaluated at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Ralph Alfidi notes the device’s cross sectional images offer new anatomy insights, allowing detection and measurement of tumor density and organ abnormalities beyond traditional radiology.
The Rockefeller Commission reports no credible evidence CIA involvement in President Kennedy's 1963 Dallas assassination. A five member expert panel reviewed motion pictures and concluded Kennedy was hit by two bullets from the rear with no medical evidence of other shots.

Dollars for Scholars raised 1959 for 160 items from 111 bidders in the first auction night. Mullenix said turnout should match tonight with about 160 items up for bid and hopes to reach around 2000 dollars.

The board confirmed the firing by letter June 9, with a seven day window for response and potential replacements discussed.
