Recounts Possible In Two Local Election Races
The Huron County Board of Elections began its official canvass for two tight primary races. In the 72nd district race Marie Tansey leads Richard Reach by 34 votes. in the county commissioner race James Seitz leads Jane Adelman by eight votes. Recounts cost $10 per precinct, with free recounts if the margin is under 0.5 percent of total votes. The process, including double checking by staff, could take about 10 days.
