Drop Charge On Bad Check Against Paul Edwards
A bad check charge against Paul Edwards of Wellston was dropped for want of jurisdiction after the alleged offense may not have occurred in Huron County. Edwards, indicted last month, pleaded not guilty at his May 28 arraignment in Common Pleas Court and faced a $662.52 check written to Laymer Manufacturing Co. Wakeman with insufficient funds at Milton Banking Co. Wellston. Prosecutor William W. Owens said the check was reportedly handed to someone in Jackson County, a fact not known at indictment time.
