A second floor blaze at the Pasha nightclub in Abidjan killed 41 people and injured about 12 as patrons fled through a rear window. Huron County Towns Win $1.15 Million Public Works Grants
Huron County and four communities will share 1.15 million dollars in federal Public Works grants. Norwalk Furniture Workers Endorse Three Year Contract
The One Of Best Furniture Co. ratified a three year pact granting hourly workers a 40 cent raise first year and 30 cents annually for years two and three. The package adds fringe benefits, a paid holiday, a 1 percent pension boost, higher health and welfare contributions, and a two week vacation after two years. The 310 workers approved it 172 to 46. The deal is retroactive to May 27 and aims for an 8 percent first year rise including benefits.
