In a divorce action, Donna Axum Mutscher agrees to allow her estranged husband Gus F. Mutscher to custody of their son for now. The move comes as the former Miss America and Mrs. Mutscher, 32 and 41 respectively, work through the tangled child custody dispute.
Former Attorney General Richard G. Kleindienst receives a one month jail sentence suspended and a 100 dollar fine for a misdemeanor related to Watergate. Judge Hart commends his loyalty while noting incomplete Senate hearing answers.
Jimmy Durante claims in a civil suit that he experiences periodic blackouts and cannot recall signing a 1972 contract with McMillan Co. for a life story book. He seeks to cancel the agreement saying he was not capable of executing it.
The Ohio Lottery Commission will stage Thursday drawings at various locations including cities townships shopping malls and large stores. The spokesman said drawings will occur weekly with times in the late morning or early afternoon and last about one hour.

An eight-year-old boy, James Harris, drowned Thursday afternoon in Sandusky Bay after jumping from a docked boat. Keith Pridemore, 11, tried to rescue him. James was retrieved and pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was a second grader at Osborne Elementary. funeral Monday at Second Baptist Church.
Hall of Fame pitcher Lefty Grove, 74, was admitted to Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital in Norwalk with stomach pains for a checkup. His daughter-in-law said he is in satisfactory condition and improving after a period of sedation and light diet. Grove has lived in Norwalk since the early 1960s.
Patti King, 19, a 1972 Willard High School graduate, is crowned Miss Willard after winning a bathing beauty contest at Willard City Park. The event drew 250 spectators with 15 contestants and featured judges Norwalk official Ron Freeman and others. The centennial plans include an Ohio Day parade with 125 units, 31 floats and 10 bands, and a beard contest winner to be announced Saturday.
Huron County prosecutor awaits formal report before filing charges in the case of a 14 month old girl found in a car near a laundromat in Plymouth. The child, placed with a foster family by the Welfare Department, was seen with an 18 year old Willard woman who claimed her daughter. The incident occurred Tuesday evening and the baby was cared for overnight by Plymouth couple Sgt. James Reffert and his wife. The girl's mother, now married to a 24 year old man, said the baby was born in April 1973 and had been left with her grandmother for an overnight visit.
