At a council hearing residents near 126 East Main Street opposed John Roth moving a furniture stripping business to his residential property. Roth says he consulted neighbors within 300 feet, while Dale Olsen cites a 13-family poll against the rezoning. Council set a June 20 vote on the application.
The city wrote Ted Murphy of Erie Air Service demanding removal of the hangar from the city airport or face legal action. The letter urged Murphy to deposit 2500 with Citizens National Bank to cover a mortgage against airport property. Murphy said he has no plans to move the building.
