Furniture Union Okays New Contract
Members of the Upholsterers International Union at Norwalk Furniture Corp ratified a three year contract by about four to one. Voting at 7 a.m. at the American Legion Hall produced roughly 200 to 210 in favor and about 50 against. The pact runs until May 27, 1974 with no plant work stoppage after the prior contract expired May 30. Terms were not disclosed.
