A witness for Ohio Edison testified that living near the proposed Erie Nuclear Plant in Berlin Township carries minute health risks. The NUS official said radiation would shorten life by only about two and a half seconds over 35 years, with greater risk for plant workers, and that nuclear power is safer than coal plants overall.
