UPI reports that consumer prices increased by one percent in June as summer costs failed to fall. Year over year prices are up 11.1 percent with wholesale inflation at 14.5 percent and GNP-based inflation at 8.8 percent.
The Ohio State Department of Liquor Control announced 142 of 527 standard liquor brands will raise prices August 1. Import liquors face the largest increases, though most hikes are 20 cents or less per fifth.
