Babe Ruth Would Likely Pull For Aaron, Maris Says
Roger Maris, now Gainesville based head of Maris Distributing, says Ruth might have hoped Aaron wins 715 but would have felt the load he faced. He describes Aaron's pressure, his own past strain, and predicts Aaron will reach Ruth's mark if he stays focused. Maris notes letters to Ruth era and the asterisk issue Frick used for Maris. He mentions Aaron’s 18 homers needed, and Maris’ family plans to attend Atlanta.
