Aggie's Scorecard Rehark Mollison Card 37 In Open League

Chuck Mollison led Monday Open scoring a one over par 37 and net 31 with birdies on 5 and 8. Sylvia Fantauzzo claimed women’s low gross 48 and Rick Brooker won low putts 16. Tuesday action had no multiple winners, Pete Roche topped Norwalk City with 40 and Mark Beeman 33 low net. Maxine Smith starred for Lady Aces with 48 low gross and 16 putts. Lydia Sudbrink net 37. National Golf Day on July 4 5 saw Lee Trevino set target 67. Elks winners Don Halter 74 10 64 and Del Smith 74 12 62.

Huish Leads British Open at Carnoustie in Scotland

David Huish the 31 year old Scot club pro shot 69 67 136 to lead the British Open field of 153 at Carnoustie. Noting rivals Tom Watson Peter Oosterhuis Hale Irwin Jack Nicklaus and Johnny Miller within five, Huish eyed Hogan's course record of 282 as Bobby Cole fired a six under 66 to set a new mark.

Kirby Sweeper Demolishes Reineck's First Slow Pitch Loss

Kirby Sweeper handed Reineck's its first loss of the season in the Women's Slow Pitch League at McGuan Park, 13-12 in nine innings. Kirby's moves into a three team race for first with a 6-1 record, led by Maggie Kramb and Karen Winslow. Joni Leslie earned the win as Reineck's Bonnie Smith led with two singles. In other games Bellevue Center routed Friendly Corners 34-3 and Mesenburg's beat Home Savings 15-3.
