Former Chief Justice Earl Warren who helped shape a Supreme Court era named after him died at 8 p.m. at Georgetown University Hospital. He had been hospitalized with a heart ailment when cardiac arrest ended his life with his wife and two daughters at his bedside. Funeral plans were not announced.

Brakes Fail Trucker Dies After Saving Son and Workers
Indiana driver Garrett D. Rusk Sr., 35, died when his tractor trailer careened on a steep road. He steered past four road workers and got his 13-year-old son into the sleeper before the vehicle crashed and oil spilled on the highway. The rescue car rammed the wreck, but the son survived.

Man dies after hospital refuses outside aid
