Turnpike Lifts Gasoline Limits On Ohio Purchases
The Ohio Turnpike will lift fuel purchase limits at 8 a.m. with no current cap on Standard Oil of Ohio stations, based on July projections and fewer toll road trips. A cap could return if demand surges. Sohio expands Sunday hours from Cleveland to several cities. The Ohio Insurance Institute touts car pools to save millions of gallons weekly and lower premiums, citing a study by President John C. Winchell. Savings per motorist vary by city, with rural drivers gaining about 67 annually. 500,000 cars off the road three days weekly could yield three million gallons saved weekly.
