A special city council meeting set for Saturday 8 a m will decide spending 200000 to upgrade the electrical distribution so Ohio Edison can supply up to 10000 kilowatts when its 69 000 volt system goes into service in November. Bond financing is likely. The work covers North West and Pleasant Street areas with new lines and Substation B upgrades.

Commuter Train Derails At Grand Central In Morning Crash
Two Penn Central commuter cars derailed at Grand Central Terminal during rush hour. One man died, another lost a leg, and several others were injured. Police identified the dead as Clinton D. Richmond, 38, of Chappaqua New York. David Tischler suffered a severed leg and was taken to Bellevue Hospital. A witness said the lead car jumped the track and hit a concrete pillar near the 30 platform.

County Sets Sewer Vote For Thursday
Huron County Commissioners postponed final decision on creating a sewer district until their regular meeting Thursday after a Tuesday session with state and local officials and a plant maker. They focused on legal details and subdivision rules with Prosecutor Bernard Freeman. Buckeye Ridge subdivision builders in Townsend Township prompted the question of county operation of the planned package plant.
