Three Year Old Dies In Fire In Ohio
A three year old from Morrow died and two Maineville firefighters were injured in a mobile home fire Friday night. Buddy Collins was alone with his brother Johnny as the blaze broke out near 10 p.m. A neighbor rescued Johnny but could not reach Buddy. Fire Chief Ron Framl ling said the fire started in a front bedroom where the body was found.

Man Beaten and Robbed in Willard Incident
George McCarthy reported to the Huron County Sheriff's Office after a beating and robbery Friday between Willard and Centerton. He was struck with a car jack on a small bridge, losing $60, and was taken to Willard Area Hospital. a suspect was questioned by Willard police. McCarthy lives on Keefer Street in Willard.

Norwalk Woman Drowns In Pool At Bluffs Apartments
Suzanne Marie Ruffing 20 drowned in the pool at the Bluffs Apartments Norwalk on Sycamore Drive. Found at 8 51 p m by a resident, a visitor pulled her from the bottom. Coroner estimates drowning about 8 30 p m. Miss Ruffing a A&P cashier lived at 17 I with a roommate. She was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Norwalk. Funeral arrangements and wake noted.

Milan Looks For Old Time Capsule In Thick Town Hall Wall
Milan plans a Sunday ceremony to dedicate a new time capsule built by Milan Steel weighing 200 pounds and two feet by one foot. Mayor Robert Bickley searched a 16 inch wall behind the cornerstone for the original capsule but found none despite newspaper accounts listing its contents. The day’s events include church services, a flag ceremony, a community picnic, an eagle unveiling, plaque dedication, attic tours, and a Jaycees softball game.
