Columbus Ohio UPI Krabach administrative services director said he abolished 11,000 authorized but vacant positions after reviewing organization tables. He cited a special projects office unused and unstaffed as an example of positions he eliminated.
Ronald S. Krasnicki 33 president of Dani Crane Rental Co Solon was found dead Thursday in the trunk of his car at a Mansfield area truck stop. A passerby saw blood and reported it. police said robbery was not the motive and no arrests were made.
Ohio congressman warns of natural gas shortages risking an Ohio State University shutdown during a cold spell. In Indiana, Mary Lou Schwartz is recovered unharmed after a ransom payment of about $300,000 for her release from kidnapers at an Elkhart area delivery van.
Schwiefert bound over to Huron County Grand Jury on aggravated murder charge after a closed preliminary hearing. Bond set at 100000 cash or 200000 property. Victim Kenneth Shaw, 34, was found dead in his car on a Peru Center Road farm. The Grand Jury meets Monday to consider indictment.
