Risner Case Delayed by Court Extension
The Sixth District Court of Appeals granted Huron County Prosecutor William W. Owens an extension to February 12 to prepare for Harold Risner's case. Risner, a Shelby youth, was granted a new trial in an armed robbery case. Judge Gilson ordered the delay after noting the trial transcript was incomplete on coercion claims. Risner pleaded guilty to the January 12 1970 armed robbery of City Loan and Savings Co Willard and has since faced conflicting sentences and prison transfers.
