Oberlin Psychology Professor Found Dead in Apparent Suicide
Samuel M. Rubin, 28, acting professor of psychology at Oberlin College, was found dead Monday in his Oberlin apartment. Lorain County Coroner Dr. Paul Kopsch said Rubin took his own life by placing a plastic bag over his head. The New York City native graduated magna cum laude from the City College of New York. He is survived by his father Emanuel of New York City.

Cpl. George Johnson 22 of Carrollton Ohio saved jets during a Viet Cong raid on Da Nang air base. Rockets damaged six jets worth 15 million dollars and at least one American soldier died. Norwalk Huron County Flood Areas See Evacuations And Rising Rivers
Slushy winter weather caused runoff and seepage into city basements and streams in Norwalk and Huron County though officials said no major flood threat. Evacuations occurred in Franklin Flats near River Road and a trailer park on Route 60 south of Birmingham.
