Night Motel Robbery At Royal Motel On Milan Ave
A man wearing a nylon stocking over his head and armed with a knife robbed the Royal Motel at 177 Milan Ave early this morning, taking an estimated 100 to 150 dollars. Manager Oren Pigman, 47, reported the incident lasted three to five minutes after which the robber fled. No car description or escape direction given. Pigman has run the motel since May 1974.

Library Elects Barnes as New Library President
Delbert Barnes has been elected president of the board of trustees for the New London Public Library for 1975. Other officers elected at the Jan. 15 meeting include Mrs. William Heckbert as vice president and Mrs. Harold Erlenbach as secretary. Dr. Dale Nicode sworn in for a seven year term on the board. Two women injured Friday when their cars collided on Benedict Avenue. Alice Sanger 64 suffered head cuts and internal pains and was taken to Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital while Lorene Bly 51 had a minor foot injury and declined treatment. Other incidents include a rural Norwalk youth charged with failure to yield after a minor collision on Main Street.
