Edison High School senior Chris Welfle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Welfle of rural Norwalk, is back in Elyria Memorial Hospital for two to three weeks. He will have surgery to correct a leg and hip injuries that are not healing properly. His parents say he would like to hear from friends. he had just returned to school after Christmas.
City records show 340 accidents in 1972 up from 283 in 1971 and 293 in 1970. One fatal crash last year involved a Navy man at a loading dock while downtown Main Street saw the most activity.
