Norwalk NCAP Volunteers Aid Snowbound Community
Norwalk Community Alert Patrol NCAP members worked over 33 hours in a severe snowstorm to unclog roads, shelter motorists, and assist state patrol and sheriff's deputies. They used four wheel drive vehicles, CB radios, and even a farm tractor to pull cars from ditches and guide trucks to safety. NCAP carried out rescues, transported medicine, and provided room and board for stranded drivers, with backing from local residents and law enforcement.
