Norwalk to Buy High-Velocity Sewer Cleaner
The city council approved a $60,000 high velocity sewer cleaner to replace the aging bucket system for storm and sanitary sewers. The machine uses high pressure water to scour debris, saving man hours and preserving sewers, with two operators required. Funds come from the sewer revenue fund after bond fund restrictions were reviewed. An emergency declaration avoids a 30 day wait. The bid process will follow.
