IRS Chief Builds Log Home Near Norwalk in Ohio

Alvin M. Kelley, named IRS district director for Northern Ohio, and his wife are constructing a log residence on Peru Olena Road south of Norwalk called IRS Acres. Kelley, a Willard native, led an intelligence unit that investigated public corruption including the Kerner case and Paul Powell’s funds while serving in the IRS. The post 514 Willard American Legion has applied for a private club liquor permit, and a separate accident on U S 20 left Diana K. Borgia with scratches after a car skid on ice.

Car Slams Into Tree Injuring Lorain Woman

A Lorain woman was seriously injured when her car struck a tree on Ohio 113 north of Milan after sliding on ice. The driver, Robert Sams, 56, was traveling about 35 mph. Florence Sams, 51, was taken to Elyria Memorial Hospital.
