Gilbert, 22, Joins Council In New London
Michael A. Gilbert, 22, was appointed to complete the unexpired council term of Allen Randleman who resigned Feb 8. He is a Lorain Products mechanical designer and ran third among eight candidates for two seats. The council addressed Kent Sporting Goods annexation proposal for a plant on Ohio 60, with water and sewer service in exchange for taxes and a $1,000 fund contribution, and a work session was set. The revised garbage and trash sanitation ordinance passed third reading with curb pickup set for March 17.
