Make A Will Now
The best time to review your family business matters and to make a will is now while healthy and able to discuss legal and family arrangements. In Ohio a will must be in writing and signed in the presence of two competent witnesses who must not be beneficiaries. The testator declares the instrument his last will and testament. changes can be made by codicil with lawyer help. Without a will, property is distributed by law, guardianship for children is court-appointed, and probate costs rise. A will lets you name executors and guardians and avoid delays and disputes for survivors.
