Light Fixtures Fail In City Kindergarten
Four fluorescent light fixtures fell and shattered in a city kindergarten class at night prompting a safety inspection at Pleasant Street School. Building supervisor Robert Kramer says fixtures will be rebolted through floor and ceiling, with costs estimated at 150 to 200 dollars.

Two Drivers Cited In Area Accidents
Three accidents were investigated by the Norwalk Post of the State Highway Patrol on Monday. Beverly L. Timb 24 of Wakeman was cited for failure to stop within a safe distance after backing into a parked car on Thame Street Wakeman. Richard C. Bores 22 of Monroeville was charged with failure to drive on the right side after his car went off Washington Road near Norwalk. A dog was killed when Dora M. Bauer 50 of New London struck Route 162 west of New London after noon.

Stabbing Incident Ties Laborer to Norfolk and Western Camp
A Norfolk and Western rail line worker, Arthaniel Dick Taylor, 57, of Prospect Virginia, is in Bellevue Hospital with a neck wound after a fellow crew member, Russell Jennings Jr., 42, of Crew Virginia, allegedly stabbed him in a camp car in the railroad yards near Bellevue. Jennings is in Huron County jail on charges of stabbing with intent to wound as detectives question witnesses. The assault was reported to Bellevue police at 11:40 p.m. Monday.
