Local Churches Mark 143rd Anniversary Dinner and Pastoral Call
The First United Presbyterian Church celebrates 143 years with a 6 30 p.m. Thursday anniversary dinner open to the public. A pulpit committee of six was named Sunday to seek a new pastor for retired Dr John K McDivitt. Dr L E Linower, ex Ashland College dean, will be guest preacher and is Roger father of Mrs Lonnie Eagle of Norwalk. The adult fellowship hosts a 6 30 p.m. Saturday potluck. St Mary Catholic observes Scout Sunday at 10 a m with Cub Scouts and fathers. The Men's Association plans a 7 p.m. Saturday Monte Carlo night. The Church of God youth service features a Valentine party at 7.

EHOVE Offers Resources Conservation Program
EHOVE Joint Vocational School will offer a two year resources conservation program next year for juniors. The Avery program trains students for outdoor recreation forestry wildlife and soil conservation occupations with field survey mapping pond management and equipment maintenance. It includes pollution laws wildlife protection and leadership training for future managers. Students should contact guidance counselors.

Three Industries Sue For Rubber Fire Damages
Three Norwalk industries and their insurer groups sue for damages after a Dec 26 1971 fire at Durable Mat Co. caused building and business-interruption losses. Plaintiffs seek combined claims totaling over 90 thousand dollars. defendants are four youths aged 12 to 15 who admitted starting the blaze by tossing railroad flares into rubber piles.
