Norwalk Protest on Revenue Sharing Rejected
Norwalk's protest over its annual revenue sharing allocation was rejected by the federal government. Finance Director Douglas Colvin received a form letter from Graham W. Watt stating the data used to compute Norwalk’s share is correct, with the city awarded 80640 annually instead of 111000. Colvin argued years prior to 1971 were used, despite 1971 figures being available, due to income drop from 1970 to 1971 linked to license plate revenue loss.
