Miller becomes second St. Paul wrestler to win tourney title
Vermilion St. Paul grappler Al Miller pinned his way to a heavyweight championship and was named outstanding wrestler as he helped Vermilion win the meet. Miller pinned opponents Thursday and Friday including Paul Popke in 44 seconds for the title, while New London’s Bob Hunter topped Vermilion’s Rocky Smaar for 98 pounds. Monroeville finished fourth in a 15 team field with 622 points. Vermilion led with 982 points.
