Somoza orders troops to shoot looters in Managua curfew
In Managua the curfew remains dusk to dawn as Gen. Anastasio Somoza orders troops to shoot looters to restore Nicaragua's honor. At least two killed by guardsmen bullets including a 4 year old. Martial law declared and relief efforts continue with U S Army engineers and refugee centers set up amid massive rubble and deaths.

Three Pool Firms Fined for False Advertising in San Diego
KDI Inc of Cincinnati and 15 individuals were named in a court order fining three local San Diego pool firms Bone Haven Sunset and Royal Pools $45 000 for false and misleading advertising in a $100 000 damage suit filed last March. The firms were ordered to stop uttering or disseminating false or misleading advertising and to refrain from unfair fraudulent or unlawful business practices.
