Operator Saves 50 From Seoul Hotel Fire
A South Korean telephone operator alerted and guided about 50 hotel guests to safety as smoke filled a five story hotel in Seoul. Six others perished and one was injured as the blaze began on the first floor beer parlor and spread upward. Police cited an overheated kerosene stove as the probable cause.
