Mayor Finch reports 1967 program largely fulfilled
Mayor Harold Finch told City Council on Tuesday night that most of the 1967 program was carried out. He said all initial year proposals reached fruition in the police, power, street and electric departments, with about 80 percent in fire and filtration, and 90 percent in sewage. He noted setbacks in the fire department due to manpower and a new tank truck, while police progress exceeded projections, including a safety school for pre kindergarten children.
