The Senior Choir will present Carol of Christmas at 7 p.m. Sunday directed by Bob Stark with Mrs Ruth Stark and Mrs Jane Hoffman on organ and piano. New members join at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Rev Charles Pearce preaches on Dealing with Doubts. Various youth activities, baptisms, and multiple Christmas programs are scheduled, with services including a Star and A Scepter sermon by Rev Paul Bailey and a reception for retiring pastor Dr John K McDivitt.

Children's Room closes Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesdays Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. Preschool story hours stay at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Puppy in Ditch Receives Humane Society Reward
The Huron County Humane Society offers a 50 dollar reward to find the person who stuffed a three month old puppy in a plastic garbage bag and dumped it in a ditch. Christine Rucker found him and he is now at Dr. J G Ryder's office awaiting adoption.

Norwalk Santa Relies on Free Taxi to Courthouse Area
Santa John Fogleman, 80, will retire after this Christmas and has ridden daily in a taxi service run by James Womack near Norwalk’s courthouse. He does not drive and previously worked 15 to 18 years for the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. A Dayton native, he once clowning for P. T. Barnum Circus and traveled with medicine shows before settling in Norwalk in 1944. He lives with wife Mary at 32 Marshall Street and has four children: John, Don, Dean, and Mrs Marcelle Lever.

Living Room Chair Fire Reported in Norwalk
The Norwalk Fire Department reports an early morning blaze in a living room chair started by a cigarette. Mrs. Glen Tinker of 17 S. Garden St. reported the fire at 3 17. Firefighters found the chair outside to shield other furnishings and estimated $100 in loss.
