End of an era as Dr McDivitt retires after 14 years
Dr. John K. McDivitt Jr., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk for 14 years, will retire January 1. He will deliver his last sermon December 31 with a probable New Year theme, and he reflects on 38 years of ministry and 3,000 marriages. He plans to stay active locally and visit Florida with his wife for a couple of months, while the congregation holds a farewell reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday in Fellowship Hall.
