UPI reports November new car deliveries fell 35 percent from 1973 levels as the auto slump deepens, risking 215000 auto workers by Christmas and marking the worst November since 1959 except for 1970 during a GM strike.
Los Angeles police report over 140 high school drug sellers arrested by undercover officers who blended in as students. Many returned to campus within a day, while an officer was assaulted, fueling clashes with probation and school officials.
The Labor Department reported 2,436,200 people received unemployment benefits for the week ending Nov 16, up 215,600 from the prior week. Officials said November unemployment figures due Friday would likely be the highest since 1961, underscoring a worsening economy.

The Huron County Board of Health approved a 1975 budget of 191 428 with salaries totaling 151 778. The 1974 budget was 178 352 and 1974 is expected to balance at 20 000. Health Commissioner Dr George F Linn cited salary increases as the sole cause of the higher budget.
