Storm Sewer Nears Completion in New London
Major work on the Bonney Creek area storm sewer is nearly done for the year. Harold Cooke reports fencing around the Firelands Electric Sub-Station and Maple Street work remain. A 54 inch pipe begun in October crosses Maple Street to tie with the Old 15 inch tile draining Park Avenue and East Main Streets. Future plans extend the line west along the railroad right of way to James Street and East Main Street. Construction of 840 feet cost 14376 funded by a 3 mill levy approved in 1961 and renewed in 1963, with renewal expected in November.
