An orientation for new seventh and eighth graders at Norwalk Junior High is planned for next Wednesday. A L to A L group meets at 9 30 a.m. and M to Z at 1 30 p.m. Orientation lasts one hour and parents are not required.

The Huron County Legal Secretaries Association will install officers and present its charter at the Twine House in Huron. Installing officer Luella Howser of Xenia will be assisted by Ruth Langstaff of Findlay. The 20 charter members elect Janet R. Wallace as president and outline a full board including Audrey Burton and Betty Zorn.
A compilation of community notices includes Quickies dances at Le Mar Lake Park with 1.50 donation and door prizes, bowling lanes openings in Norwalk for men and women, a mini camper/truck cap seller, a septic tank service by Jim Stark, a Christian bookstore moving sale, and multiple yard and garage sale events. Also listed are absentee ballot bid notices for the county elections, a melon ice cream social near Sullivan, a tennis club note, and a builder advertising new homes and remodeling services.
Local bowlers invited to practice at New London Recreation Center starting Tuesday Sept 4 at 6 pm as leagues approach. Jolly Eights Bowling League and contact numbers provided for joining. Graveside services were held for Susan Marie Gross the stillborn daughter of Paul and Mrs. Gross at St. Pauls Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Stein officiating. Christopher James Funk the stillborn son of Virgil Funk Jr and his wife was buried at Steuben Cemetery with Rev. Arlie Hawkins officiating. Orvetta White 64 died after a lengthy illness in Cuyahoga Falls and is survived by her husband Wayne two daughters and other relatives with services at Billows Funeral Home and burial in Cuyahoga Falls.
Fisher Titus Hospital records show admissions for James Smith Bradley Thornton Helen White and Mary Sandefer all of Norwalk and William Ward of Norwalk. Discharges include Richard Smith Marblehead Faith Bucks Amherst Edythe McCarter and Lois O Dell all of Norwalk. Sandusky Memorial Hospital admits Charles Wilson of New London. Good Samaritan discharges include Mrs Robert Deehr of Berlin Heights and Jackie Barnhart of Norwalk.
