Two Hilliard residents, Paul Lehman and Norma Lehman, were injured Thursday when their car struck a semi on U S 20 at Ohio 4 east of Bellevue. Lehman charged with failure to yield. both taken to Bellevue Hospital.

Willard Man Extradited For Assault Charges
Marvin Neeley, 22, extradited from Prestonburg to Huron County Jail after missing his March 12 jury trial on aggravated and felonious assault charges stemming from a Jan 19 fight on Motson Street Willard. He posted $1,000 bond on each charge but failed to appear, leading to bond forfeiture and a bench warrant. Neeley was briefly held in Kentucky before extradition was completed and flown back by local authorities.

Firemen Organize County Association in Huron County
Eight of nine Huron County fire departments voted Aug. 1 to form a county association. Norwalk Fire Chief Elmer McGuckin invited County Commissioners and Vernis George to the next meeting at the North Fairfield American Legion Hall on Sept. 12.
