The Bellevue Democratic Party names Herbert A. Napka to replace Russell Rupert on the Bellevue City Council ballot. Napka, formerly with the Bellevue Gazette and owner of E Z Pools, has served as Erie County Deputy Clerk of Courts. Rupert withdrew from the race August 14.
Quickies The Nite Life opens under Ruth Dillingham with hours from 10:00 A.M. to 2:30 A.M. seven days a week at 1512 2212. A benefit swimming party at Elks Country Club Saturday August 23 from 8 to 12 p.m. raises funds for the John Hemenway Scholarship Fund. Six local youths attended camp this summer.
