A meteorite blaze over the Pittsburgh area early today frightened hundreds as it flashed across the sky. Officials at Allegheny Observatory and Buhl Planetarium described the event as minus six magnitude and the brightest possible, saying it lit the area like a flashbulb.

Teen UFO chase ends with ambulance ride to hospital
On Jacobs Road near Lovers Lane Norwalk Ohio several teens looking for UFOs rode in a car driven by Donald J. Linder 18. Harley Penwell 17 clung to the car and fell, injuring his head. he was taken to Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital in fair condition. An observatory in Pennsylvania reported a bright shadow producing meteor at 11 55 pm Thursday, minutes before the crash.

A $15,931 civil suit filed in Huron County Common Pleas Court by Merton R. Ackerman of Sandusky on behalf of his son David against Robert A. Ackerman of Monroeville was settled and dismissed.
