Police report wet pavement contributed to several Tuesday crashes. Vance Myers 64 Collins cited for failure to yield at Vandercook and E Main. James Mutchler 25 111 Benedict Ave involved in collision with Myers. Katharine Ryder 65 20 Central Blvd stopped at St Marys and Grove, hit by David LaConte 17 at Grove. Raymond Filmore 60 Elyria cited for excessive speed for conditions on Routes 18 20 near the cutoff. Richard Cutter 36 Wooster rear ended Gary Eastman 17 North Fairfield on Route 250 near Bargain Center. Cutter cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance ahead.

Jamboree Planned For Weekend At County Fairgrounds
The third annual CHers Jamboree will be held at Houron County Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday. Hosted by the Sheriff's Hurox County Emergency Net Inc, the event features C8 equipment displays, a bake sale, prizes and entertainment with food available both days and a chicken barbecue from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Norwalk Principals to Register New Pupils and Kindergartners
Norwalk school principals will be in their respective buildings to enroll pupils new to the district and kindergarten children not previously registered on Monday. Man Jailed For Larceny In Bike Theft Case
James Gregory Levers of Cortland reported at 11 a m that his bike was stolen while he was at Norwalk High School. Police traced the bike to 110 N Hester Street and arrested Harold Eugene Conrad Jr 19 12 Witer Street on petty larceny after confirming he took the bike from in front of Norms Barber Shop and was on parole from Mansfield.

Local boy keeps two pet crows in St Marys
Seventeen year old Tony La Conte owns two pet crows he found with two others last summer near railroad tracks. He and Wayne Pylant raised them on bread milk and worms though two died. The surviving birds now roam the neighborhood visiting a Ritz cracker feast.
