Shelby man held on smut charge
A 37 year old Shelby man, Carl F. Bushey, is held in the Huron County jail accused of showing obscene pictures to three North Fairfield boys ages 9 to 12 and offering to sell them. Deputies traced a red car to the suspect, identified him, and found an obscene book in the vehicle after a search warrant.

Four Youths Cited In Battery Thefts
Four Willard youths were picked up by Norwalk police early this morning on petty larceny charges. They allegedly took batteries from cars at Fritz Hilltop Gulf Norwood and Benedict Avenues. Police found 19 used batteries in the car trunk. Vernon Hoskins 20 was cited into Mayor's Court. the other three youths 17 17 and 16 were cited into Juvenile Court.
