Left turn crash injures driver on U S 250 near Olena

Patricia B. Masten 27 Vermilion slowed for a left turn on U S 250 south of Olena when a passing pee truck driven by James R. Harlan 31 Ashland struck her. Masten injured but untreated. No citations. Several other minor crashes on Ohio 61 US 20 and local streets reported with no serious injuries.

Norwalk Ramps Bid Tie Up Delays Air Port Work

Bids for hangar access ramps at Norwalk Huron County Airport were opened Aug 6 by county commissioners. Price Construction quoted 17 459, above the 16 680 estimate by 5.6 percent, prompting rejection under earlier rule. A later meeting revealed the five percent limit was misapplied. a new bid opening is set for Aug 30 after a typographical error in the legal notice required re advertisement.
