An underground gas line ruptured by a road grader exploded near Calhoun Louisiana killing six people and injuring another. A worker four miles away recalled seeing a ball of fire and a distant roar as emergency crews fought the blaze.
The Army said the assembly line for its new main battle tank will be built at Lima Army Modification Center Ohio creating between 1200 and 1500 jobs. The plant will produce about 30 tanks per month as the primary line with Detroit Tank Plant as a backup facility.
