In remembrance of the 1945 atomic bombings and to protest a Lake County nuclear plant project advocates of nuclear disarmament gathered in North Perry over the weekend. The Cleveland area coalition sponsored the protest as demonstrations continued.

Daniel L. Allen, son of Mr and Mrs Robert E Allen of 21 Chatham St Norwalk Ct, has been promoted to senior airman at Andersen AFB Guam. He is a law enforcement specialist and a 1975 Norwalk High School graduate. Staff Sgt Russell G Maze Jr, son of the Maze family of 128 S Linwood, has been assigned as a tank commander with the 73rd Armor in Boblingen Germany. Maze, a 1972 Norwalk High School graduate, entered the Army in June 1972. His wife Rose S Maze is also assigned to the 73rd Armor in Germany.
