Bronson Township seeks levy to cover higher fire costs
Bronson Township proposes a 1.5 mill operating levy for the November ballot to fund rising fire and ambulance costs. Trustee David Hester says the levy would raise about $4,200 yearly for three years, covering roughly half of current expenses with the rest from other funds. If it fails, some township services may be curtailed. The township relies on Norwalk Fire Department and Norwalk Ambulance Service with new per-call fees. Additionally, Wellington Exempted Village School District files a five mill levy affecting some Lorain County residents.
