Four burned in explosion aboard river cruiser near Covington
Four people suffered first and second degree burns in an explosion and fire on a 14 foot cabin cruiser docked along the Ohio River near Covington Kentucky. Victims were William Housely 39 Linda Cornelius 29 Doris Studenka 35 and Ray Shearer 39 all taken to Cincinnati General Hospital. Cause of the blast was not immediately known.

Arson is suspected after a morning fire gutted a southern Huron County home near New London. Fire officials say the kitchen and enclosed back porch were destroyed. Cadet Shoots Own Hand in Off-Duty Incident
Huron County Sheriff's Department cadet Todd Temple sustained a hand wound when an off duty .38 Colt revolver discharged in the Temple home basement. He is in satisfactory condition at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital after police and sheriff's deputies responded just after 11:20 p.m. Temple, 12 year cadet and Terra Technical College student, was to report to the jail at midnight.
