An emergency squad policeman shows marks after being bitten during an attempt to eject about 500 students from five Columbia University buildings early today. At night a bloodied student walked from the campus as about 100 others were treated and released at two area hospitals with head injuries.
Paris reports the death of Clovis Roblain a 66 year old grandfather and truck driver at La Pitie Hospital. He died 51 hours after receiving the heart of a 23 year old auto accident victim in what was the world's seventh heart transplant.
UPI reports columnist Drew Pearson suggested Cleveland Mayor Carl B. Stokes could be Hubert Humphrey’s running mate if Humphrey wins the Democratic nomination. Pearson noted Humphrey also weighs John Connally Ivan Allen and Daniel Inouye as possibilities.
In Columbus guards stood at each door of the Ohio State University Administration building to avert a second takeover by Black Student Union members. The move followed Friday's siege by about 75 students and forced emergency meetings of trustees and the faculty council to discuss the incident in which two vice presidents and other staff were held as prisoners for hours.
Senator Frank Lausche proposes Warsaw Poland for Vietnam discussions arguing it could press the Polish regime and offer U S advantages. He says avoid site quarrels and notes Poland's friendship with the United States. In separate report, pediatrician notes obesity risk from baby foods and calls for slimmer options.

The Huron County Association of Township Trustees and Clerks unanimously supports a $5 rise in license fees to fund roads and highways. A resolution favoring the permissive tax was delivered to the county commissioners on Monday after a Thursday meeting. State law now allows commissioners to levy the tax, but no action has been taken yet. Further consideration is expected soon.
A P Stores announces relocation to the in city shopping center at League and Whittiesey in Norwalk. The new A P will occupy 14 553 square feet, about 5 000 more than the present building, with parking for 77 cars. A half million dollar plaza already includes a supermarket, though tenants unnamed. Earlier, Marathon Oil Co received a permit for a service station in the same center.
New Gas Station by Bonded Oil Co. of Springfield will rise on the southeast corner of Whittlesey Avenue and League Street. It buys the Friedly and Stanford properties, where the Friedlys ran a neighborhood grocery. The firm aims to open before year end.
Construction starts June on both buildings with A and P store set to open February 1969. John Courtright and George S Schuliger announce leases with The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company and Marathon Oil Company for a 2.5 acre site between Whittlesey Avenue and Hester Street. A colonial motif will be used for both the A and P supermarket and the Marathon service station.
